CONSULTANCY ENGAGEMENTS

CONSULTANCY ENGAGEMENTS

Between June 2017 and February 2022, I had a wide variety of consulting engagements including the following:

Association of Manufacturers of Power Generation Systems

From December 2018 to March 2020 I was Director General of the

Association of Manufacturers of Power Generation Systems ("AMPS")

where I created a positive profile for the organisation

with MPs and Civil Servants.

Brevia Consulting

In 2017 I became chair of the Transport Advisory Board of

Brevia Consulting, a public affairs and public relations agency based in Vauxhall in London.  The role involved liaising with Parliamentarians, identifying potential clients, and lobbying on their behalf.

I left the role in May 2019.

Fuel Duty Engagement

I delivered a stakeholder engagement programme to successfully secure an extension of the fuel duty differential between alternative and main fuel duty rates at the budget.

The brief included providing political intelligence, developing messaging and engaging a broad spectrum of MPs.

Multinational Bank

Delivered a round-table event including the Transport Minister and the Shadow Minister with key stakeholders in the transport and logistics sector.

Oulton Abbey

From June 2018 to February 2022, I was engaged as Agent to the Trustees / Chief Executive of the Oulton Abbey Trust, a hundred-acre charitable estate comprising a forty-nine bed care home, tenanted farm, rental cottages, playgroup, former Abbey buildings and a Pugin Church.

Jon Beech Recovery Ltd

In June 2017 I became Consulting General Manager at Jon Beech Recovery Ltd in Stoke-on-Trent, ceasing the engagement in December 2017.

The business has been operating in the West Midlands for more than

forty years.  It specialises in the recovery of larger vehicles, often from accident scenes and in concert with the emergency services.
